The Pastoral Work

Daily Words of Encouragement
By Priest Knight Scopas Juma Kamonde
Our Verse of Today (24/11/2017)
“For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of His will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives.” (Colossians 1: 9)
The Title of Our Today’s Topic: The Pastoral Work
The previous verse was part of the message from Apostle Paul to the Christians of Colossi as part of his pastoral work.
From our verse of today we can learn these very important and valuable points:
1.     Truly, Apostle Paul and his team work were really very glad for the good news they heard about the progress of the Church of Colossi and that was a sign of his true love to them plus his honest care for God’s children.
2.     Moreover, Apostle Paul and his team work had kept on praying for the continuation of the Colossians’ progress in regards to all the good things they had during that time.
3.     Furthermore, Apostle Paul and his teamwork had prayed for very unique and perfect prayer request or topic for the Christians of Colossi which was the acquirement or possession of the knowledge of God’s will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives

My dear fellow Christians in general and Churches’ leaders in particular, let us continually thank God for the progress of any church or group of Christians wherever they are and we have to pray for their continuous progress as well by then we will bring more God’s blessings upon them and for ourselves too. Moreover, we have to express what have been mentioned before through all means of communications as possible as we can instead of doing that heartily or secretly.
