Daily Words of Encouragement

Our Verse of Today (14/11/2017)
“In those days Israel had no king, everyone did as they saw fit.” (Judge
21: 25)
The Title of Our Today’s Topic: Everyone Did As They Saw Fit
The event of our verse of today
took place during the times of the community leaders of Israel who were called
Judges.
From our verse of today we can learn
these very important and valuable points:
1. During those
times there wasn’t any clear system of governance in the land of Israel because
the Israelites didn’t experience the system of kingship yet but they were ruled
by Judges in disorderly manner.
2. Because of
the absence of permanent system of governance during those times, the
Israelites had experienced life of; immorality, worshiping of false gods and
total disobedience to God’s law.
3. As a result
of the negative life of disobedience to God’s law, the Israelites had
experienced God’s anger in form of different aspects such as; famine, diseases,
colonialism and enslavement by the other nations repeatedly for centuries.
My dear fellow Christians in general and Churches’ leaders in
particular, special those who live in countries that the majority of their
governments’ officials are Christians, let us do our level best spiritually and
practically in order to help our governments to perform their duties and
responsibilities in accordance to God’s will so that we can enjoy His blessings
instead of living against His will and facing His curses.
