Daily Words of Encouragement
By Priest Knight Scopas Juma Kamonde
Our Verse of Today (27/11/2017)
“King Solomon was greater in riches and wisdom than all the other kings
of the earth.” (2 Chronicles 9: 22)
The Title of Our Today’s Topic: The Blessed Kingdom of Solomon
The previous verse tells us about the reasons or sources of the
greatness of King Solomon.
From our verse of today we can learn
these very important and valuable points:
1. Truly King
Solomon had very great wisdom not because of his education or personal efforts
but it was a free gift from God to help him so as to rule the people of Israel
perfectly and of course during his reign he did a lot of big achievements in
his kingdom.
2. Because of
King Solomon’s wisdom he became so rich and even his kingdom was so rich
especially because he managed to encourage trading with the nations through
which a lot of things had been brought to his kingdom on top of them; gold,
silver, precious stones, woods, etc.
3. Based on
the success of King Solomon in the management of his kingdom’s economy, the
kingdom of Israel during his time was so blessed; economically, politically,
socially and even spiritually specially before his fall in the sin of
encouraging the worship of other gods or paganism.
My dear fellow Christians in general and Churches’ leaders in
particular, of course we can bring success to ourselves through personal
efforts like any other non-godly people can do. But our true and blessed
success must come from God by granting us His wisdom and blessing all our
efforts.
