Daily Words of Encouragement

Our Verse of Today (16/11/2017)
“When Naomi heard in Moab that the Lord had come to the aid of His
people by providing food for them, she and her daughters –in-law prepared to
return home from there.” (Ruth 1: 6)
The Title of Our Today’s Topic: The Life of Refugees and Migrants
The event of the previous
mentioned verse took place during the reign of Judges when the famine that took
place during the time of Naomi was over.
From our verse of today we can learn
these very important and valuable points:
1. Naomi had
left the land of Israel to Moab together with her husband and two sons because
of the famine that took place during that times but unfortunately she came back
without them because they all died there – might
be because she was God’s fearing woman and the others were not so.
2. When Naomi
was still in the land of Moab, her mind
and heart were in Israel that was why she was following the news of her
country as a result for that she managed to hear that the Lord had come to the
aid of His people by providing food for them.
3. Shortly after Naomi got the good news of God’s
blessings in her land, she had decided to go back home without any hesitation
why? Because her mind and heart were already there. But she
didn’t come back alone because one of her daughters in law, who was called
Ruth, had insisted to go back with her and of course both of them came back to
the land of Israel together.
My dear fellow Christians in general, for some circumstances we can live
outside our countries and if it happens to be so let us be like Naomi whose
mind and heart were in her land while she was still abroad by following the
news of her country and at last she came back when things changed from bad to
good – do you know what happened because of her return back to the land of
Israel? Through her daughter in law
Ruth, King David had come as a blessed man of God! Who knows may be from
your; knowledge, money, children or whatever you have, something very big may
happen to your country and to the entire world when you come back home as God’s
fearing person!
