Daily Words of Encouragement
By Priest Knight Scopas Juma Kamonde
Our Verse of Today (17/11/2017)
“Which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing
you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ.” (Galatians
1: 7)
The Title of Our Today’s Topic: The Wrong Teachings in Churches
The previous verse was addressed by Apostle Paul to the Christians of
Galatians as an attempt from him to warn and advise them against wrong
teachings as well as against false teachers.
From our verse of today we can learn
these very important and valuable points:
1. It was
clearly that wrong teachings had entered
into the Church of Galatia during that period and probably because of the
activities of some teachers from the backgrounds of Judaism and Paganism, they
might not get enough teachings and training about Christianity before they
start teaching others.
2. The wrong teachings had brought some confusion
to the Christians of Galatia because it was different from the true
teachings or gospel that was brought by Apostle Paul and his teamwork.
3. Because
Apostle Paul knew that the wrong teachings would pervert the gospel of Christ
or would change it from positive to negative by changing its route and that was
why he had addressed them to be careful and to resist those false teachers and
their wrong teachings.
My dear fellow Christians in general and Churches’ leaders in
particular, for my sorrow almost the majority of Churches world-wide are
experiencing wrong teachings from some Churches’ servants who are not;
spiritually, theologically and academically qualified. The result is that our Churches are full of wrong teachings that brought
confusions and differences among the Christians from the different
denominations as if we have different gospels or Holy Bibles.
